Food was good but the some chicken pieces were not fully-cooked. I liked their Korean army soup. It was for 3 persons. The medium spice level was somehow spicy but I loved it. I probably would like to try their other soups with very spicy level. Service was ok. Staff probably needed to smile. :) They have tea and coffee for free, which is amazing! Looks like this is typical to a Korean resto. Prices are reasonable and many eat there even on a weekday.

We dined in for dinner at Dong De Moon using First Table and had a great experience. We were seated really quickly, and the servers were friendly and efficient. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting. We ordered bulgogi soup, jokbal, and seafood pancake. The servings were very generous, the medium jokbal was perfect for 2–3 people when paired with other dishes. The bulgogi soup was delicious and comforting. I wasn’t a big fan of the seafood pancake, but everything else was great. The restaurant does get busy, so it’s best to book ahead. We also got a great deal with First Table, which made the whole experience even better.

Food portion is good! Staff are very helpful and the food tastes really good. We had the raw beef which I think is a must have! The pork is tasty and tender. Definitely one of Auckland’s best.

Great food and service. Visited 2 times already with first table and both were positive experiences. Drinks are a bit cheaper than other Korean restaurants which was a plus - they are currently doing $15 soju. Half&half jokbal has great portions and taste, and it’s the only place you can find good dakbal in Auckland. Had Army Stew as well which had a great spice.

Dong De Moon is a Korean restaurant serving all kinds of traditional Korean cuisine. They also offer a range of beverage options. I ordered their lunch special Stir-fried spicy pork rice ($16) Ordering + Staff greet you immediately once you step in the restaurant. + Find a seat, check the menu, order your food. + You pay after the meal. Picking your autistic seat + I failed to take a video, even a photo of this place. When I sit down, there’s a guy facing me two seats away. I reckon it would look too aggressive taking videos. So I waited for a while, then another guy came to sit facing me one seat away . Anyway please reference other people’s photos. Water & Napkins + Actually it’s been a while. I vaguely remember staff brings a jug of water and a cup to you. + The table has a drawer, it got napkins and cutlery in it. Food - 9/10 + Just look at the plate and side dishes. $16 for that in today’s economy? Plus it’s very delicious. Service - 9/10 Overall I will give this restaurant 5 stars.
